SRK to get back his 6-pack abs?

This time Shah Rukh Khan will beef up his body perhaps for more that the song-and-dance routine. In fact his brawny physique would be put to use for some real hardcore action. And why not when Rohit Shetty is at the helm of affairs!

 

The buzz is that Shah Rukh Khan would be working overtime for that perfect physique before he starts shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express. Though not much is known about the story of the film, going by Shetty’s style it should be an action-comedy. And for the kind of action that Shetty employs, SRK wants to ensure that he gives his best shot.

Shah Rukh is presently finishing Yash Chopra’s film with Katrina Kaif in London. Once he returns to India, he would start training for Chennai Express.

Kareena Kapoor joins IPL 2012 Opening Ceremony!

Kareena Kapoor is the latest to join the celebrity list of performances at the IPL 2012 Season 5 to be held in Chennai on the 3rd of April as part of the inaugural opening ceremony event of IPL (India Premier League).

Kareena Kapoor who has been busy promoting her upcoming release Agent Vinod with her beau Saif Ali Khan will be giving a glamorous performance at the IPL opening ceremony.

Already we hear that the International singer Katy Perry will be performing at the YMCA grounds in Chennai at the inauguration ceremony of IPL. Adding to the celebrity guest list are Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra alongside Amitabh Bachhcan who will be hosting the event.

The IPL will be held between 4th of April 2012 to 27th of May 2012 which will feature 76 games across 12 locations. The captains of the nine participating teams will also be present at the venue at the inaugural event.

The tickets for the opening ceremony have started to sell, and the starting price is said to be Rs 1,500. Grab the opportunity now to meet your favorite stars and cricketers!

Priyanka Chopra offered Rs 11 Crore Zanzeer remake!

Earlier reports floated that Deepika Paudkone might be roped in to play the female lead in the  remake of 1973's Zanzeer, directed by Prakash Mehra. But the latest reports suggest that it is National Award winner Priyanka Chorpa who has bagged the role.

Sources earlier also suggested that Tollywood ero Ram Charan Teja might be roped in to make his big ticket Bollywood debut with this film, to play the role performned by Big B.

After enacting the role of Kali in the Agneepath remake and also being part of Amitabh Bachchan's another hit classic remake film – Don (twice), Piggy Chops has landed in another remake project.

Zanjeer film, set against oil mafia backdrop will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The gossip is that Priyanka Chopra has been offered Rs 11 Crore. She will be enacting a powerful NRI woman who is bold & spunky and runs a restaurant business, which was earlier played by Jaya Bachchan!

The film is to be co-produced by Prakash Mehra’s son Amit Mehra and Reliance Entertainment. The movie is expected to go on floors by April 13th in Film city, Mumbai.

A spokesperson of behalf of Priyanka had told media, “Priyanka has been approached for the film. But she is still to take a final decision.”

Priyanka's friend was reported to have said, “Priyanka has seen Prakash Mehra’s Zanjeer several times. She is very excited about this offer and is fast working out her dates  for it.”

Madhuri Dixit unveils her wax statue Madame Tassauds!

There is no denying the fact that Madhuri Dixit, once the reigning queen of Bollywood, stills holds her fans captivated with her million dollar smile. Now, the actress takes pride in being honoured with a wax statue at Madame Tussauds Museum in London. She was there in London on Wednesday with her husband Doctor Nene and two sons for the unveiling of the statue.

“I am thrilled to be here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It’s incredible just how detailed the figure is – they have captured my look beautifully! I feel very humbled to be included alongside other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes,” Madhuri said in a statement on the museum’s official website.

The statue has been made with the hard work of four long months and a cost of about 150,000 pounds. The actress donated her pink saree for draping the statue and she also had sittings with sculptors from the museum in Mumbai a few months back.

With this, Madhuri joins the long list of Bollywood stars including the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan who have their wax statues at the museum.
