Katrina Kaif to Produce a Movie?

One of the sexiest beauties of Film Industry, Kartina Kaif is spreading her wings as a producer. Don't be surprise as the said project is in very initial stages and the actress is very tight lipped about her project.

As per our source from the industry, "Katrina recently saw a French film which took her heart away and thus she decided to remake it. She has filed for the copyright of that flick and soon will be coming in light about the same."

"Kat is also planning to play the lead in the film. She is mum about the film that inspired her to take a next step as a producer so that nobody else can go ahead and copy her idea or buys the right for the same," adds the source.

Talking about the role; our birdie informs, "She will be playing a business-woman in the film which has a bit of a negative shade. Nothing much can be talked about it as the storyline of the film is still in dark."

Miss Kaif isn't it too early to jump in the producer's pool. Well let the things come in light, till then keep guessing!!!

An opportunity for the fans to meet Imran Khan

Imran Khan’s next project to hit the screens would be ‘Luck’ and the guy is leaving no stones unturned to reach out all his fans and promote his flick at this crucial juncture.

Produced by Dhilin Mehta & Directed by Soham Shah, the film marks the debut of Shruti Haasan (Kamal Hassan’s daughter) and stars Sanjay Dutt, Imran Khan, Mithun Chakraborthy, Ravi Kishaan, Chitrashi Rawat and Danny Denzongpa.

Imran Khan will soon be in London with Sanjay Dutt and Shruti Hassan to promote the film and he plans to personally meet his fans in London. Imran will be with them on 11th July 2009 when he visits Cineworld Ilford and Cineworld Feltham.

Talking about the love of his fans and also about London, Imran says, “The UK has always been special to me, as I have many friends and family there. The audiences have also been extremely supportive of me and of my releases. I’m really looking forward to interacting with everyone at Ilford and Feltham on Saturday.”

Shruti Hassan has given a bikini scene

Kamal Hassan gave entirely new heights to Indian cinema and his contribution to the entertainment industry cannot be over emphasized. Now, when his daughter Shruti is debuting with Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.’s film ‘Luck’ directed by Soham Shah, it is but obvious that cine goers are looking forward to it.

Shruti has given a bikini scene for the flick and that too without any qualms. Says the sporty female, ”When Soham narrated the script, I did not even consider the bikini thing as a big deal it was logical to the premise. While shooting for it, the weather was very weird that day. It was freezing cold, but apart from that it was like any other scene in the film for me.”

Director Soham praised Shruti saying, ”Shruti did work out to get a toned body. Moreover she worked more hard to maintain it. We shot the sequence in Cape Town. The temperature was only two degrees. She had to brave the icy weather for the shoot.”

‘The scene involves Imran Khan, Ravi Kishaan and Mithun Chakraborthy. Shruti was not at all apprehensive of wearing a two-piece swim wear as she was aware of it from before. The scene is totally justified as Ravi Kishaan’s character pins his eyes on her,” he adds justifying the scene.

Binal Shah, the designer, says about the outfit, ”I bought a plain Bebe bikini that fitted Shruti perfectly. I then embellished it with mother of pearls in shades of green that matched the night pool ambience.”

Hrithik’s Kites moving to Hollywood

That seems to be the case as the industry is rife with rumors surrounding the marketing of Kites. If rumors are to be believed then Rakesh is in doldrums ever since Kites failed to leave a mark on the international audience at the Cannes Film Festival.

As per our sources, Roshan senior wanted to give his son Hrithik an international launch, by making Kites in English as well as Hindi. But he found no takers for Kites at the Cannes, as international buyers were not interested in an Indian film. Basically, that’s because Cannes is mainly a major market for Italian, Korean and French films.

Not deterred by his canned experience at Cannes, Roshan senior has moved on and is eyeing Hollywood to sell Kites. Now it’s reported that Roshan Sr. has shouldered the responsibility of striking a deal with Hollywood executives, and allotted 20 days from his schedule for this purpose.

With Kites still on the production floor and such rumors afloat, it surely would be very uncomforting for the Roshans to find an overseas market for the Film.

Celina Jaitley is happy that homosexuality is legalized

Celina Jaitley is one actress who has never been shy to express her feelings on homosexuality. She was the one who came out to launch the first official gay magazine in India and also had to face a lot of threats and abusive remarks for standing up for the gay community. Now that Article 377 has finally been nullified and homosexuality is legalized in India, she is definitely happy.

Here is what she had to say to express her feelings, “I have been receiving threats from radical and cultural groups. But I was simply standing for the fundamental right of a human being, so what if he or she is a homosexual.There are many people in the film industry who are from the sexual minority and they will now be able to come out in the open.Some of the people who have touched my lives were homosexuals. I owe a lot to them.”

Katrina Kaif voted most eligible single female

 

Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif has emerged as the most eligible single female in an online poll by a matrimonial website.

Interestingly, John Abraham , her New York co-star has also been voted the most eligible single male.

The poll conducted by shaadi.com had votes from about 18,000 netizens, a statement from the company said on Friday.

Nearly 48 per cent of males voted for Katrina as the most eligible single female. The actress scored over divas like Bipasha Basu , Deepika Padukone , Kareena Kapoor , Priyanka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor .

Nearly 43 per cent females named John as their favoured eligible bachelor. John garnered more votes than Salman Khan , Saif Ali Khan , Ranbir Kapoor , Rahul Gandhi, M.S. Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh.

“It's nice to see the way our members' preferences for an ideal partner have changed drastically. Its not just about looks and fashion trends but about power and higher social standing that makes a person more attractive and appealing,” Gourav Rakshit, business head of shaadi.com, is quoted to have said.

Meanwhile, John and Kat’s film ‘New York’ is getting fabulous response at theatres and the film has been appreciated by critics as well.
