Dharmendra admitted to hospital due to chest pain

Popular actor of yesteryears and former MP Dharmendra was Wednesday admitted to the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education (PGIMER) here following chest pain.

Doctors at the PGIMER said that the actor`s health was being monitored and he was being kept under observation. He had complained of fatigue and chest pain Wednesday.

A PGIMER spokesperson said that the actor was being examined by doctors at the institute and he would be discharged shortly.

Dharmendra has been in various places in Punjab to shoot his new Hindi film "Yamla Pagla Deewana". Both his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol are also acting in this movie.

Dharmendra, who hails from Sahnewal town near the industrial city of Ludhiana, 110 km from here, was a popular Bollywood hero in the 1960s and 1970s. He was the main lead in the Bollywood blockbuster `Sholay`.

Katrina, Salman bouncers misbehave to female reporters

He has had a series of news behind him for his rash and unruly behaviour- right from hit and run car accident to black buck poaching case, hitting his ex-love Aishwarya Rai and now the latest one is encouraging misbehaviour with a female reporter. Talking about Salman Khan, the rash boy is once again in news for a wrong reason.

It all happened when Salman was in Mumbai to attend the ‘muhurat’ of a film. When a lady reporter asked some questions to Salman, his unruly bodyguards misbehaved with the reporter and pushed her aside in an undignified manner. The lady screamed in retort, “Don’t you have any brains?” At this, Salman’s bouncer hurled an abuse to her instead of apologizing for his behaviour.

The incident reached its peak when Salman Khan turned, laughed sarcastically at the reporter and walked away saying, “Have the abuses been recorded?”

This incident has surely come as a shock for his fans and is surely being criticized by all and sundry. It may be mentioned here that recently, when Katrina Kaif’s bodyguards had pushed a reporter, the lady had turned and apologized to the reporter asking him if he was hurt. She also rebuked her bodyguards and asked them to be careful hence.

It is high time Salman Khan learns some courtesy and modesty from his lady love!!!

Salman,Big B together for a cause

If you thought Salman Khan can’t share any platform with anyone from the Bachchan khandaan, think again. The actor and the Bachchan patriarch Amitabh Bachchan and other Bollywood stars have joined hands to present 'Star CINTAA Superstars ka Jalwa', an entertainment extravaganza which will raise money for the welfare of Cine and TV artists.

Star India Network and Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) have collaborated for a charitable contribution to provide the association's members with medical services, rehearsal halls and preview theatres.

"I am very happy to be here and be a part of this spectacular event that will not only entertain the audience but will also encourage a noble cause. I have been a part of Bollywood for over 20 years now and I owe every bit of my success to this Industry," Salman said at a press conference.

Star CINTAA Superstars Ka Jalwa will have six episodes and the first episode will be aired on March 21 at 9 pm.

Shahrukh urged bollywood to learn from Hollywood!

Mumbai, Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Tuesday urged Indian filmmakers “to learn from Hollywood” and offered a three-point prescription which could help the globalization of Bollywood movies.

Speaking at the inaugural session of ‘FICCI FRAMES-2010′, Shah Rukh said that Indian filmmakers must learn screenplay writing techniques, visual effects and discipline in doing movie business from Hollywood. “However, learning Hollywood screenplay and technology is not about losing the intrinsic quality of our stories. We must maintain our own cinematic individuality,” he said.

Shah Rukh advocated formation of alliances with Hollywood to help the Indian film industry nurture its potentially different story format, the musical-drama format and “make us travel around the world”. Shah Rukh emphasized that “the sooner Indian filmmakers realize that screenplay is not an art form but a science, the faster Indian movies will globalize and Hollywood can exchange that know-how with India”.

“The big investment we are looking for from Hollywood is the training of mechanics for running machines for visual effects. We need to develop people who can make us our own cheaper, better and faster softwares for filmmaking and have a special branch of trained visual effect teams and talent here,” Shah Rukh added. Stressing on discipline, Shah Rukh said that the Indian film industry needs to adopt from Hollywood the discipline and organisation with which it does its business.

“This organisation already exists in other Indian businesses, but is woefully lacking in the business of films,” he pointed out. “This (organisation) also needs to filter down to the film distribution systems based on their models and learn the science of marketing films,” Shah Rukh added.

According to Shah Rukh, the knowledge that Hollywood could bring to Bollywood was a lot more essential than the investments it is already making in India. “The time has come for having a symbiotic relationship where we can both feed off the knowledge that we have instead of just the movies. The economics will follow. Then, Bollywood and Hollywood together can have a global audience watching our movies,” Shah Rukh said.

Aishwarya Rai as jewel designer

Universe Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has now got herself engaged into a new business. It seems that the actress has believed that she is slightly getting aged and would gradually loose out offer in mere future. Well, that makes her opt for a different business now.

According to the closer sources, the actress has been spending quality time over designing jewels. Right now, she has almost completed shooting for Rajnikanth’s ‘Endhiran’ and Manirathnam’s ‘Raavana’ in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

As well, she is busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hindi film ‘Guzarish’, where she pairs opposite Hrithik Roshan in female lead.

So, we can expect decorous designs from the beautiful actress. Regrettably, the actresses in Bollywood aren’t left with options just as our heroines get into small screen ventures.
