Celina Jaitley Performed Daring Action Stunts

Celina Jaitley who is known for his skin showing acts rather than acting talent recently had a very death defying action stunt during the shooting of movie ‘Run Bhola Run’. Thus this image turn over act for Celina happened when her action director told that there an action sequence is in the movie to be acted next and her body double would perform it, however, Celina who as an NCC Cadet had rigorous training to her credit insisted on doing the act herself.

In this act she had to jump from a 10 story building and to her problem she had to perform that act in miniskirt instead of jeans. “Oh! She did an excellent job! These stunts can be very dangerous and it takes guts to perform them. In fact, there was a body double ready but Celina Jaitley was pretty excited. I think she is the first female artist to do such a dangerous stunt. The whole unit praised her after the shot was over,” as her action director said.

In the words of Celina, “My life that day totally depended on the entire action team as they were operating the cables from a crane on top of the 10-story building. I was still a bit nervous because this time I was jumping in a mini skirt and not military fatigues! The worst part was leaning towards the ground from the ledge of the building before the fall. The action director and his team were extremely motivating. I got major kicks out of it as extreme sports have always excited me.”So this is a great change in Celina’s Image.

Akshay Kumar & Priyanka Chopra break the ice

It was a long icy gnawing emptiness when the pair which gave hits like Suneel Darshan’s Andaaz and climaxing in Abbas-Mustan’s Aitraaz stopped working with each other for reasons unknown. So deep was the cleft between the pair that Suneel Darshan had to scrap an Akshay-Priyanka starrer after a song featuring them.

But finally, after the long gap of three years, the fans of the duo were enthralled to see them together when Akshay and Priyanka performed together on stage on Thursday for Christmas at the Convention Centre in Hong Kong for a show called ‘From Chandi Chowk To Hong Kong.’ As an icing to the cake was the Bong beauty Bipasha Basu’s performance who was earlier scheduled to perform in Mumbai for New Year’s eve.

Salman Khan’s gesture of love for Aamir Khan

This is another addition to the gestures of friendship between Aamir and Salman Khan. Salman is all praises and best wishes for Aamir’s ‘Ghajini’ so much so that he himself painted out two paintings of Aamir from ‘Ghajini’.

The paintings, in keeping with the somewhat dark theme of the film, are in black and white and a noticeable aspect of both the paintings is the fact that both of them depict Aamir’s by-now-famous Ghajini hairstyle.

Asin, the leading lady of “Ghajini” on last Wednesday unveiled the paintings at a special function at the Inox at Nariman Point in South Mumbai. Asin said she was “highly impressed” by the creative talent of the star “who can paint so well”.

Not to mention, both Aamir and Asin are keeping their fingers crossed as their film goes into Janta’s court this Christmas.

"Ask Kamal about Marma Yogi"- Trisha

As part of her fan club's initiatives, Trisha visited the Cancer Institute in Adyar yesterday and spent time with the kids there. She interacted with the kids by distributing stuffed toys and candies. She also accepted rose flowers from them as a token of their love and affection. The interaction was followed by the screening of her recent movie Abhiyum Naanum which she enjoyed seeing with the children. Trisha was accompanied by her mother and aunt.

Later on she was seen answering queries from press. When asked about why she is not interested to act in Hindi films, she said that she is happy here and has her hands full in South Indian films. If time permits and an interesting script came her way, she will give it a try. To a poser on the problems between her and Nayanthara, Trisha said that there are no issues between them and that they are good friends. Finally, on Marma Yogi, she said, "I have no idea bout the film being dropped or anything like that. One will have to ask Kamal for details. The call sheet that I had given to the film still remains".

Suriya comments on Aamir

Suriya has hailed Aamir's Ghajini as being better than the Tamil original. "I always knew it would be better, " he said, "because it was a perfect platform for director Murugadoss to correct the mistakes he did in Tamil. He has not only corrected the flaws, but he has also bettered it. The climax scene was the perfect example. I loved the way he has built up the climax -- way different from Tamil.”

Speaking of Aamir Khan, he said:"I would say he did a fantastic job. Having said that, I don't even want a comparison with him. He is like a professor to me, and I am just a mere student. A student can never compare himself with his guru. The last two years or so have been a learning experience for me. When he said that he has never been part of a remake in his career and that he would do my role in Ghajini, I was humbled.

Over the two years, he kept discussing with me every minute detail. He always remained connected. Inspired by a wonderful script by Murugadoss, he worked so hard to build that body suited for the role. I would say the he worked harder than me. I know how difficult it could be to have -- and maintain -- such a body at his age. I heard him saying that in fact I was the one who pushed him to do the role. That comment makes me even more humbled. Hats off to Murugadoss and the entire team."

Trisha's Australian holiday

Trisha is all set to celebrate her New Year in Australia, far from the maddening crowd of Chennai and her demanding work. "Work was taking a toll on my personal life. I have worked for two years at a stretch without thinking of a break," Trisha was quoted as saying to a newspaper.

"I am taking a much-deserved break and will be away for 15 days to celebrate New Year with my friends and relatives in Australia," she said. Trisha will holiday in the beaches of Australia until her projects for the year 2009 commence.

Barbara Mori to shoot in Mumbai as planned

The shocking terror attacks in Mumbai have not daunted the Mexican hottie Barbara Mori . She will still shoot with Hrithik Roshan in Mumbai as planned.

After completing a long schedule with the cast and crew of producer Rakesh Roshan’s movie Kites in the US, Barbara got attached to them and was very concerned about their well-being when she saw the horrible images of Mumbai terror attacks on television. At the same time she was worried about a shooting schedule in Mumbai for which she was to fly down to the city in January next year.

So producer Rakesh Roshan and director Anurag Basu had to speak with Barbara and assure her that she has nothing to worry about. She would be provided with adequate security upon her arrival. After these assurances, Barbara has reportedly decided to come to Mumbai as planned. She would be shooting some crucial portions of the film with Hrithik and Kangana Ranaut .

Hrithik says Barbara is too professional to back out of the shooting.

Even Anurag Basu is all praise for the Mexican beauty. He says when he first narrated the script to her, she responded in a way that convinced him that she is the most suited for the role in the film.

Bipasha Basu's scary Sunday

While shooting an action scene last Sunday, Bipasha Basu suffered a most bizarre incident and had to be taken to hospital.No, the actress did not injure her leg or arm or neck or head, but her ear. What happened was when Bipasha was shooting the stunt, a small flying pebble landed in her ear. Though the actress tried to shake the pebble out, but it did not pop out and she decided to take the medical help because she feared the stone might burst her eardrum and make her deaf.Since it was Sunday, all clinics in the vicinity were closed. So Bipasha sent an SOS to - who else? - her boyfriend John Abraham who called an ENT doc friend of his. Bipasha rushed to Leelavati hospital where the ENT specialist took out the pebble with a suction machine. A relieved Bipasha went home with her parents, but another trouble awaited her. She, her parents, and her claustrophobic sister got stuck in the lift of their building. It took some time before the Basus were rescued. Bipasha dubs that Sunday as the scariest day of her life.

Lakshmi Rai spotted again with MS Dhoni

Kannada actress Lakshmi Rai, who has acted Kannada movies like Valmiki, Snehana Preethina and Minchina Ota, was spotted having dinner with Indian Cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni at a laxurious hotel in Chennai. It is said that the Belgaum beauty describes the meeting as a friendly visit. According to sources, Dhoni had come to Chennai to play the India-England test series. The actress had visited the hotel, where Dhoni was staying, but securities did not allow her to meet him. Later, she was allowed when Dhoni himself clarified that he had invited her. Lakshmi said that it was a friendly meeting. There is nothing special about it. "Dhoni and I are friends. I don’t see anything wrong in meeting up with him when he’s in town," sources quote her saying.

It can be remembered that the pair was spotted in a Chennai hotel when Dhoni had visited Chennai to play Indian League matches. He had also attended her birthday party.

Ranbir Kapoor Slaps Katrina Kaif!

It was an unintentional blow but a blow it was when Ranbir Kapoor hit right on Katrina Kaif’s nose leaving the delicate lady bleeding. It all happened on the sets of the Rajkumar Santoshi film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’.

This Monday evening, the stars of the film were shooting a chase sequence at an elaborate set created at Madh Island. Ranbir and Katrina were supposed to be running away from some goons and when Ranbir needed to suddenly turn around during the shoot, his hand inadvertently hit Katrina on her face and the delicate actress was left with a bleeding nose.According to reports, Ranbir immediately apologized to the actress, but she took no offence because she knew the blow wasn’t intended. However, Katrina was in pain and had to be given first-aid on the sets. A worried Santoshi called off shooting for the day. The next day, too, Santoshi did not shoot the film but used the free time to do some decoration on the sets.Well, all Ranbir is doing at present is keeping his fingers crossed so the Sallu Bhai (who is just too possessive about his girlfriend) does not take it as an intentional offence!

Newcomer Asin portrays two different looks for her ‘London Dreams’. At home, she is a docile conservative South Indian girl. But put her on stage and she transforms into a cool chic rock singer with a guitar in her hands and a song on her lips. Though it has not been officially disclosed by producer-director Vipul Shah, it is reliably learnt that Asin even gets to sing in her voice and play the guitar in ‘London Dreams’.Meanwhile, getting her big break in Bollywood, Asin has moved bag and baggage with her parents to pursue a full-time career in Hindi cinema saying bye-bye to South. However, Asin says she is open to regional cinema if the script is good. The family has been staying in a rented place in the suburbs for a year now.

But now, Asin is ready to buy her own place in Bandra. “We’re looking at some places. And we’ll zero in on the place we want soon.”

About her role in London Dreams Asin is totally tightlipped. “All I can say is, it’s something I’ve never played before. In fact I think it’s a role never seen in Indian cinema. Beyond that I can’t talk about it. But I’m very excited about both Ghajini and London Dreams. I’ve a long list of criteria for selecting a role beginning with the director, banner and co-star and ending with the cinematographer…I want them all to be just right. Am I being greedy? Perhaps. I’m sorry. I can’t settle for anything but the best,” said Asin.

Actress Katrina Kaif is the most googled for Bollywood star in India, according to Google’s own India Zeitgeist research arm, followed closely by social networking site Orkut. "Different people find different things to do on the Web, so these lists are a good representation of the unique ways in which users mine the Internet," says Vinay Goel of Google India. In terms of Bollywood actors, Katrina just edged out Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan during the period surveyed.On the movie front, the survey which covers roughly the first half of this year, saw Jodhaa Akbar in first place, followed by Dasavatharam and Singh is Kinng. Amongst other high scorers were tennis star Sania Mirza, Goa and India Railways.

Katrina says that it is the director that has most influence on her decision to make a movie and this is what influenced her to make Yuvvraaj. "I knew that I was not the protagonist in Yuvvraaj, but I wanted to be a part of it since an established director like Subhash Ghai was making it," she explains. Certainly, her appearance in Yuvvraaj has attracted many fans. "Katrina looks like a dream in Yuvvraaj. She has never looked so gorgeous before," said a source. Kabir Khan’s movie New York, under the Yash Raj umbrella, will be Katrina’s first movie of 2009 and will also feature Irrfan Khan, Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham. "He must have got carried away by her short dresses, " said Rakhi sort of defending her former beau and adding that Shradha wears such short revealing clothes that any man would get distracted.

It was recently reported that Abhishek fell in love with Shradha at Gold’s Gym at Four Bungalows where the duo used to meet everyday. However, Rakhi is in no mood to forgive Abhishek and take him back. "Even if he comes back to me, I don’t want him in my life again. I hope God teaches him a lesson for dumping me, " she said.
