Katrina Kaif dropped from Salman’s Partner 2

Speculations are rife that producers of ‘Partner 2’ are not in a mood to rope in Katrina Kaif for the movie. Katrina was part of the original and was paired opposite Govinda , but she is not up for the sequel.The camaraderie between Salman Khan and Govinda made Partner a running hit. Though the film was a remake of Will Smith’s hilarious movie ‘Hitch’, director David Dhawan managed to direct it well to suit the Indian sensibilities. However, the sequel was planned to go on the floors by August this year. But because of unavailability of Salman’s dates and uncertainty about the film’s leading actresses, the movie is getting unnecessarily delayed.Reports say Katrina has been dropped from the film’s sequel.

The film’s producer Sohail Khan is quoted by a tabloid as saying: “Partner is our production house’s proudest brand name. We can’t be careless with it. The core team of ‘Partner’ is Salmanbhai and Govinda. The story will now move forward with them.” Sohail is planning to start the film as soon as he chalks out the new schedule. Salman has been shooting for Veer but producer-cum-bro Sohail has already booked his as well as Govinda’s dates for 90 days. And the reasons why Katrina is not in ‘Partner 2’ may be because of her other assignments. Recently, the lady said that she wants to do substantial roles. ‘Partner 2’ undoubtedly belongs to Salman and Govinda entirely. There will be nothing much to do for her besides looking good in the movie.
